Hannah L.
Hannah’s passion for pole dancing began while searching for a movement practice to support her health during the intense demands of completing her PhD in Mechanical Engineering. What started as a personal fitness journey quickly grew into something more meaningful that helped her stay grounded through the ups and downs of life. After moving to Washington, DC without knowing anyone, the pole community became her anchor, creative outlet, and home. She is a dedicated advocate for pole as both an artistic craft and an athletic discipline. Whether she’s exploring fluid, dance-driven movement or pushing strength-based skills, Hannah is constantly challenging herself to grow across the many styles pole has to offer.
As an instructor, Hannah is all about strong foundations with room to play. She emphasizes clean technique and consistent practice, giving her students the tools they need to build confidence and develop their own authentic movement style. She thrives on the puzzle-solving side of pole—breaking down tricky skills, figuring out what’s not clicking, and helping students unlock movements that once felt out of reach. Forever a student herself, Hannah is endlessly curious about the “how” and “why” behind movement. She loves digging into the theory of pole, especially how different families of tricks connect and evolve—bringing that deeper understanding into every class she teaches. She strives to bring this thoughtful, analytical perspective into both her practice and her teaching.
